The library of the Museum of Ancient Glass in Zadar started working after its opening on May 5, 2009. It was inscribed in the Register of Libraries of the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Croatia as a special library. Presently it holds over 2200 library items.
Since this is a special library, it is intended primarily for the museum staff to support their professional and research work, while the external users can use materials in the library premises. Libarary holdings for the most part deal with archaeology, art and history, and special attention is paid to materials about ancient glass that are very scarce in Croatia. Except for monographic and periodical publications, the holdings also contain a number of offprints. The Museum of Ancient Glass has its own publications such as the Asseria journal that is published annually and various exhibition catalogues. All museum publications can be found on our web page.
